If the information that’s currently present in the author box is not enough, you can quickly expand it by adding tabs.

Just like you would add tabs to your site, you can show ones on top of the author box.

How to modify author box tabs?

To start adjusting the author box tabs, navigate to Appearance -> Author Box -> Author Box Tabs.

Once you add tabs, the main one should have a name. This where you can change the name of the original tab. Default: “About the Author”.

If your authors have more than just one article on the site, you can show all posts associated with that specific writer in a separate tab. Simply toggle the button to turn on the feature.

When the “Show tab with latest posts by this author” option is turned on, this setting will let you set the title of the new tab. Default: “Latest Posts”.

Show tab with Custom HTML

To add any custom HTML, simply turn on this option.

When the “Show tab with Custom HTML” option is turned on, you will have the opportunity to change the tab’s name. Default: “More info”.

This is the content of the Custom HTML tab. You can use the %%author_html%% tag to print the content from the Simple Author Box Custom HTML box that appears on the Author’s profile page.

  • Select tab background color: Click on the color picker or write the hexadecimal number to set the background color of the new tab.
  • Select tab border color: Click on the color picker or write the hexadecimal number to set the border color of the new tab.
  • Select tab hover background color: Click on the color picker or write the hexadecimal number to set the background color that would change when people hover over the tab.
  • Select tab hover text color: Click on the color picker or write the hexadecimal number to set the text color that would change when people hover over the tab.
